Made from raw materials from start to finish, the Model 1 is my love letter to functional mid-century design. My goal was to create a ‘tool-like’ instrument, feeling equally at home in the studio or on the road. The clean uncomplicated lines, along with solid time-proven construction, create a dependable and timeless companion. The M1 has proven itself across large stages worldwide, touring with the likes of Hester Chambers (Wet Leg) playing Wembley Stadium or with Jessica Dobson (Deep Sea Diver) at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
The Model 1 is a heavily configurable guitar that allows a wide range of pickup configurations, bridge options and technical specifications. The standard offering being two P90s – hand-wound by me – a choice between a custom manufactured hardtail bridge or custom manufactured vibrato unit and bridge.
Tech specs:
Handmade from start to finish by Elliott Trent.
Obeche body (other timbers available on request).
Choice of 24”, 24.75”, 25.5” and 27” scale length.
Choice of 7.25”, 9.5” and 12” fingerboard radius.
Full “C” carve maple neck, reminiscent of early Fender necks, 21mm at 1st fret to 23mm at 12th (other options available on request).
Neck attached to body with 4 bolts into steel threaded inserts.
Choice of Indian Rosewood or Maple fingerboard.
Choice of dot inlays or block inlays (additional cost for blocks).
Choice of 21 or 22 Jescar 47095 frets (similar to Dunlop 6105).
Choice of a custom made hardtail bridge or custom made bridge and vibrato.
Locally made custom neck and control plate in brushed stainless steel.
43mm TUSQ nut (can be narrower on request).
Kluson Deluxe style tuners.
CTS 500k pots.
Treble bleed as standard.
Fully water-based “thin skin” finish.
Choice of Electroswitch 3-way toggle or 3-way blade (other options available dependent on pickup choice).
